Nothing could prepare me for what came while unawares.
I heard a thunderous clap of sound that filled my heart with fear.
The wind shook the mountains, and I heard the rivers quake.
Trees abandoned their foundations and collapsed in weakened states.
Heard through plenty nations, like a tremble through earth’s guise.
Cries shall be louder than shouts of victory, that resound throught the skies.
Lightning struck the foothills and the fires spread quick and fast.
Leaves and boughs and trees around me quickly all began to catch.
Struggles fought and accomplished victories, rush through my thoughtful brain.
For I must think of all that shaped me, for taken from dust to dust I must return again.
If I but only knew what on this day my soul befalls.
would protection’s warmth envelop me, pulling myself up into its shielded walls?
would actions and mentality change or still be much the same!
Tis but the desperate musings of a heart caught in a storm!
